I guess, you've noticed that we are back with all the Facebook updates, but unfortunately I didn't have the time to make a proper post, since there is loads of work to do and no time to blog. So, first things first, I really hope you had a marvelous time during your summer vacations. Am sure you did, and we did too. We managed to rest, get a tan, play some frisbee, eat a LOT, and now I feel like going back to work.
The reason there is so much work to do is because I have to deliver not one, not two but three chistenings till the end of October. The first one is ready and waiting to be delivered. During the next weeks you will be able to see more from the other two 🙂
The floral christening
The story goes like this: Maria, the soon to be godmother, gets a Stripes 'n' Buttons bib and pacifier clip as a present for her baby. She likes them. She call up her cousin that gave her the present to find out more about Stripes 'n' Buttons. She e-mails me, we talk. She is going to be a god-mother and wants me to make her a fabric pouch to put inside her god-daughter clothes and christening essentials. She doesn't want a box, cause the mother will be flying back to England after the christening ceremony and doesn't want to carry around airports and planes a big box. Oh, and she also wants me to decorate the big candle for the ceremony. She doesn't me give any clues on what she would like, instead she says that the mother is very romantic and she would love to have something floral...
Easy peasy! She hit the jack-pot. I am a sucker for romantic floral fabrics 🙂
And this is what she's getting: a large (50x50cm) fabric pouch, a matching large candle and three small ones that will decorate the baptismal font.
Well, what do you think? you like it?
